- Joel Vidovic, M.A., BCBA
- Joel Vidovic is the Coordinator and Behavior Specialist for the STARS School in Walnut Creek, California. He has been working with children with autism and developmental disabilities for the past 7 years. Joel first began studying Behavior Analysis while attending Western Michigan University as a psychology student. He obtained his Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education from The Ohio State University under the advisement of Dr. Pamela Osnes, the current Director of Educational Services for Behavior Analysts, Inc. His interests include but are not limited to: the study of verbal behavior, strategies for promoting generalization, and effective techniques for parent/teacher training. Joel has provided trainings at the local, state, and national levels.
- Kathleen “Kat” Mulcahy
- Kathleen moved to California from her home state of New York in 2001 to join the team at Behavior Analysts, Inc. and to work as an instructor at STARS school. She currently provides consultation services to individual families and to STARS model classrooms. She completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and received a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2000. While attending the College of Mount Saint Vincent she completed an internship program in animal behavior at the Bronx Zoo. After college she began working as an instructor at the Fred S. Keller School working with children ages 3-5 with autism and language delays, and using the principles of behavior analysis to teach language skills.
- Carmen Martin, M.S.
- Carmen is an educational consultant and the coordinator of our STARS model classrooms. She also serves as an instructor for our online courses. Carmen has worked at Behavior Analysts, Inc. for five years, and has over seven years experience in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Behavior Analysts Principals
Our senior staff members provide expertise and guide the development of our training programs. They are all licensed psychologists, each with nearly 30 years of experience in the field of behavior analysis.
- James W. Partington, Ph.D.
- Dr. Partington, our co-director, is the co-author of Teaching Language to Children with Autism or Other Developmental Disabilities and The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills. He has taught classes at several institutions including the University of West Virginia, St. Mary’s College and the University of San Francisco.
- Pamela G. Osnes, Ph.D., BCBA
- Dr. Osnes, Director of Educational Services, has authored more than 30 behavior analytic research articles, primarily in the areas of generalization of behavior change and correspondence training, and has co-authored two books on ethics in special education. She joined Behavior Analysts, Inc. in 2005 after serving as a faculty member in Special Education at The Ohio State University and serving as Director of the Master's Program in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of South Florida. She has provided over 200 trainings at the local, state, and national levels throughout her career.
